Linebacker Jason Simon put in a terrific defensive effort to help the No. 20-ranked Monroe College football team to a 45-3 victory over Wagner College JV on Sunday in Staten Island, N.Y. Simon totaled nine tackles on the evening, matching the team high. He also made four tackles for loss, including a pair of sacks. Simon forced two fumbles, one of which was recovered in the end zone for a touchdown.
