Greg Cary
Head Coach - Softball

Coach Cary enters his second season at Monroe in 2015-16.  He brings excellent experience as a coach and a player.  As an assistant for two seasons at SUNY Purchase he was an important part of the staff that guided the team to twice the number of wins from one year to the next.

He also coached high school baseball for three years and first got familiar with NJCAA athletics when he played both baseball and basketball at Corning Community College.

Coach Cary, himself a diligent, dedicated worker, believes in a positive team-first environment through hard work, respect, and competition. Student athletes who do best in Monroe softball love the game and have great desire to do their best, playing multiple positions if necessary.

He received his Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts / Humanities from Corning Community College in 2010 and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications / Media Journalism from SUNY Purchase College in 2014.

Coming from a strong family, Coach Cary’s parents, Thomas Cary and Jenny Worthington, are proud of their son as are his two sisters, Ashley and Chelsey, and two nephews, Jaden and Isaiah.

Coach Cary currently resides in the Bronx, but still has roots in Western New York State.
