Lubbock, TX – The Monroe University men's indoor track and field teams are set to compete at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, TX.

In total, the Mustangs will bring 14 athletes (seven men, seven women) to Texas. Freshmen Joy Fridah Jepleting and sophomore Attoya Harvey leads Monroe with qualifications in six different events. On the men's side, sophomore
Tinashe Bure will appear in two individual events (800m, 1000m) and two relay events (medley, 4x400m).

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE UNIVERSITY
The athletic program at Monroe University encompasses a total of 26 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as the Monroe University marching band, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
