Melvin Council Jr. became the third Mustang in the history of the men's basketball program to reach the 1,000-point career milestone this past weekend. Council reached that mark on a three-pointer early in the second half of Saturday's victory over Monroe Community College. Council had a stellar weekend on top of making history, averaging 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game in a 2-0 weekend for the Mustangs.
