Karim Belmahdi becomes the first Mustang to win Mustang of the Week during the 2022 outdoor season after a strong debut performance on Thursday at the Raleigh Relays. Belmahdi immediately set a Monroe College record for the outdoor 1,500-meter run, clocking in at 3:54.30 to set a new program-best time in the event. Belmahdi's time also earned him qualification in the 1500m at the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
