Tshwanelo Maruping had a strong weekend for the Mustangs indoor track and field team at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston. On Friday, Maruping ran a career best time of 10:18.51 in the 3,000-meter run on Friday. She impressively improved upon her NJCAA qualifying time in the event by 30 seconds, and now ranks No. 2 in the NJCAA so far this season in the 3000m. On Sunday, Maruping the leadoff leg of the distance medley relay (1200m - 3:41.54), helping lead the Mustangs to a program-record time of 11:51.81, which is also the top time in the NJCAA this year.
