Nick Evans was named the 2021 The Graphic Edge Bowl Defensive MVP for his dominant performance in the Mustangs' matchup against No. 10 Iowa Central at the UNI Dome in Iowa. Evans was in the backfield all afternoon, registering three sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss, 10 total tackles and a forced fumble as he continuously wreaked havoc on the Tritons' offensive line. Evans' effort in the game made him the easy choice for Defensive MVP despite the Mustangs coming up just short in the bowl game.
