Now in his eighth season at Monroe, Seth Goodman has transformed of the Lady Mustangs into one of the nation's most successful basketball teams at any level. Since assuming the reins in 2001-02, Goodman's has an incredible 180-35 (.837) record. In 2007-08 Goodman's Lady Mustangs won their second NJCAA, Division III national Championship in three years and their fifth consecutive Region XV championship and National Tournament appearance. In 2006-07, they were 33-3 and finished third in the national tournament. The 2005-06 Lady Mustangs will go down as one of the greatest basketball teams in the history of the NJCAA. Coach Goodman's Lady Mustangs were 36-0 on the way to winning the National Final game by a whopping 30 points. For his efforts, Coach Goodman was named WBCA coach of the Year. Leading up to the 2008 Summer Olympics, Coach Goodman was selected as a court coach for 2008 USA Basketball Women's U18 National Team Trials. Coach Goodman was an assistant coach at Mt. St. Vincent. He has also been a co-director and coach of Hoop Street Gang, a non-profit organization whose goal is to help high school boys move to the next level. Coach Goodman is a graduate of Adelphi University where he won a national championship in 1995, was national runner-up in 1996 and earned a degree in sports management and an M.A. in Education. Along with his coaching duties, Coach Goodman is the coordinator of Monroe College High School Programs. He resides with his wife Fatimah in Stamford, Ct.
