Lizmarie Vasquez is a Bronxite with a passion for volleyball.  At Baruch she was a first-team CUNY All-star on the 2005 championship team coached by Justin Stack.  She earned libero of the year honors in 2006 and concluded her college career with more than 1,000 digs, an astounding total.

 

Prior to her career in volleyball, she was a martial arts practitioner and was inducted into the Puerto Rico and Tae Kwon Do Hall of Fame for Junior instructor of the year.  She attended Lehman High School and eventually for John F. Kennedy High School where she got the opportunity to travel to Orlando and play in the famous tournament held in Disney World.  As a senior, Vasquez was elected Most Valuable Player of her team and also played on the city All Star team, representing the Bronx players. 

                 

Currently, Coach Vasquez is pursuing a degree in corporate communications at Baruch College.
