Summary

Biography

Jalil’s versatility and range of skills are impressive.  As a result, he’ll play at both the two-guard and wing positions for Monroe.    He’s a playmaker who can shoot and handle the basketball.  He can score and also has a good instinct for passing the ball.  Coach Brustad is high on his potential.  “Jalil’s gonna be pretty good,” he said.
 
Monroe fans will recognize Jalil’s name.  He is the brother of former women’s basketball player Jalilah Abdul-Bassit.  They’ll also recognize his smooth-stroke jump shot, which is like his sister’s who was a prolific scorer at Monroe.
