Entering the 2021 season Coach Lesleigh Hogg has had the pleasure of sending nearly 60 student-athletes to NCAA Division I programs, featuring Mississippi State University, Notre Dame, University of Oregon, Texas Tech University, North Carolina A&T and many others.
Coach Hogg has been awarded the USTFCCCA Coach of the Year (2016) for both the Men's & Women's Track and Field teams. Coach Hogg has also served as a mentor and coach for multiple All-Americans and USTFCCCAÂ Track and Field Athletes of the Year (2016). Coach Hogg also has accomplished two consecutive National Titles for the women's Track and Field 4x800Â relay.
Coach Hogg brings a championship pedigree to the Mustangs as well as impressive credentials as a technician and motivator of student athletes. He brings more than 32 years of coaching experience to Monroe College.
Prior to coming to Monroe, Coach Hogg worked as an assistant coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University where his primary responsibility was the development of jumpers and hurdlers,
From 1996-2012, Hogg served as Head Coach of the men's and women's cross country teams as well as the indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Lehman College in the Bronx, N.Y. During his final track and field season at the Division III school in 2011-12, Hogg led the Lightning to the CUNYAC indoor and outdoor championships and earned CUNYAC Women's Coach of the Year for the indoor season.
Hogg's teams won 10 conference indoor championships, five outdoor championships and one cross country title. In 2003, Lehman's women's team finished second at both the NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor National Championships.
Over his 16 years in the Bronx, Hogg guided individuals to All-American status 32 times.
Prior to his post at Lehman, the veteran coach led the Bronx Community College track and field team for 14 seasons from 1981-1996. Helping his BCC teams reach their potential, Hogg coached 11 NJCAA All-Americans and three National Champions on the individual level.
Throughout his career, Hogg has coached nine Olympians representing four different countries.
On top of coaching duties with the Knights, Hogg is involved with the Science Technology Entry Program in the Bronx and is an assistant coach for the Central Park Track Club.
Hogg graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Manhattan College in 1970. He resides in Orange County.
