Kimberly "Kim" Mata, MS, ATC is an athletic trainer originally from Connecticut, who combines a strong scientific foundation with practical clinical skill. She earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University in May 2024 and achieved Board of Certification status the same year. Kim also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Business Administration, which supports her data driven approach to injury prevention and return to play planning.

During her graduate studies she delivered care to NCAA Division I athletes across men’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, rowing, softball, and women’s soccer. Kim currently serves as an athletic trainer with men's soccer and women's basketball at Monroe.

She is passionate about keeping athletes healthy, confident, and competition ready. Whether managing emergencies during competition, setting up hydration and recovery stations, or overseeing rehabilitation following complex surgical repairs, she brings calm leadership and evidence based care to every team she serves.

Kim enjoys watching soccer in her free time with FC Barcelona being her favorite team. She also likes to read and go hiking. Kim's favorite food are pupusas.
