Sophomore Modou Sanneh of the men's indoor track and field team had a record-breaking day at the Rutgers Scarlet Knight Open last Friday, earning his spot at the 2026 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.  The second-year native of Gambia ran a time of 1:17.56 in the 600m, which not only won the event but also punched his ticket to the national championship as well. Sanneh's 600m time is also the fastest indoor time in Mustang history, a school record, a new Gambian national record, and currently ranks him number four in the NJCAA across all divisions.
