Shaquka Tyrell earned one more NJCAA Indoor Championship qualifying performance on Friday at the Fasttrack Last Chance Invitational, her final opportunity to do so ahead of the national meet. Tyrell provided the first highlight for the day in the 1,000-meter run on Friday. She ran a time of 3:00.68, defeating her personal-best time by more than six seconds from her first run of the season in the event, earning qualification for the 1000m at the 2024 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in the process.
