Kristin Stickdorn had an impressive day on Saturday at the Sam Howell Invitational, hosted by Princeton University. Stickdorn competed in both the hammer throw and discus throw events on Saturday and managed to impress in both. In the hammer, Stickdorn threw a season-best distance of 52.94 meters, not only improving her qualification mark for the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, but putting her at the top of the leaderboard at the NJCAA Div. I level so far this season. This performance also earned her second place out of seven competitors in the event. Stickdorn also had a great performance in the discus. She took home first place in the event with a best throw of 42.77 meters, setting a new career-best mark while also qualifying herself for the NJCAA Championships in the event.
