Juliana Pires had a huge game on Friday to lift the No. 4-ranked Monroe College Mustangs women's soccer team to an 8-1 victory over Region XV rival ASA College on the road. Pires scored each of the game's first three goals, and later added a pair of assists for an impressive eight-point performance, helping Monroe to a big win over last year's national runner-up. Pires is tied with teammate Maria Santin with a team-leading 29 points on the season, and leads the way with seven assists.
